Department of Civil Engineering

Vision

To encourage sustainability, inventiveness, and resilience through ongoing practice improvement and innovation in the profession of civil engineering that engages in offering creative solutions to suit the always changing demands of different organizations.

Mission

  • The book would aim to raise awareness about the principles and benefits of a circular economy, providing a thorough overview of the concept, its environmental, social, and economic impacts, and the urgency of transitioning to a circular model.
  • The study aims to actively engage in lobbying for the circular economy and activities that have an impact on policy on behalf of individuals, community groups, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy groups. It would provide guidelines on how to advance circular economy rules, regulations, and incentives at the municipal, regional, national, and international levels. It would also provide examples of civil society initiatives that have advanced the ideas of the circular economy.
  • The book would emphasize the importance of creativity and entrepreneurship in advancing circular economy solutions and offer recommendations on how civil society may encourage these two factors in the circular economy. It would include illustrations of grassroots efforts, startups in the circular economy, small and medium-sized businesses, and organizations that have created and scaled circular solutions. Along with that, it would detail the financing, mentoring, and other tools at hand for circular economy innovation and entrepreneurship.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOS)

PEO1:

In designing sustainable and affordable solutions for civil engineering projects while taking into account technical, economic, environmental, and social considerations, graduates will be able to use engineering design procedures and utilize contemporary tools and methodologies.

PEO2:

Graduates will exhibit a solid grasp of professional ethics and integrity, and they will uphold the highest standards of professional behavior in their engineering practice, including respect for diversity and inclusion, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making.

PEO3:

In recognizing and resolving civil engineering problems, graduates will demonstrate leadership abilities, critical thinking, and creativity. They will also make contributions to the progress of the civil engineering profession via innovation and ongoing improvement.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs):

At the end of the program, the students will be able to :
